Every year since 2013, Spiceworks’ data-driven State of IT report has offered actionable insights on the evolving tech landscape for everyone involved in tech (e.g., IT leaders and practitioners, tech brands, business decision makers, and more).
The ongoing study — powered by Aberdeen Strategy & Research — includes survey data on critical IT trends, tech workforce challenges, budget priorities, and investments in emerging technologies like generative AI.
For example, going into 2025:
- 64% of organizations planned to increase their IT budgets YoY
- 54% of companies planned to increase spending on generative AI
- 57% of senior tech leaders believed hiring IT talent was difficult
